![]() ![]() The narrator is amazing: Sarkis' northern accent is fabulous, and the bird is one of the most hilarious things I've ever heard. The supporting characters of Zale and Brindle (and Pretty Foot!) make a fun traveling group with Halla and Sarkis, and I’d love to read more of their traveling adventures.Īwesome narration, good story, a bit too romancy I loved Sarkis, he truly respects women in his inner monologue which you can tell the author is a woman. My one misgiving is that she kept referring to herself as old and past her prime, and she’s the same age as me (36) which made me give my phone the side-eye more than once but I recognize she’s just repeating the cruel things her terrible family has abused her with. Halla is a fun character, she gets a little trying with her constant self-doubt but I think a lot of women will relate to her caregiver/selfless attitude. ![]() ![]() Gives them so much personality! Bravo! Story-wise, this was a great listen. I loved all her voices for the characters very distinct and easy to tell who is speaking. Jesse is the first female narrator I’ve listened to who manages to make the male lead sound legitimately sexy. ![]()
